Bemötandet vid ankomst och rummet (en liten svit 220). Fruosten var otroligt stökig. Massor med människor, knappt någon plats att sitta. Personalen försökte fylla på serveringsfaten men lyckades inte särskilt bra. Jag kan tycka att ett fint hotell som Knaust skulle kunna erbjuda en Executive möjlighet för dem som är beredda att betala mer för både rummet och vistelsen, såsom är vanligt på större hotell i världen.
Detta besök får bli det sista hos er. Missnöjd med bokningen, missvisande pris som inte rättades till som utlovat. Och duschkrämen var slut i duschen. Det ända som lyfter betyget var er receptionist som jobbade lördagkväll som var serviceminded och hjälpte oss med mat trots att det var nära stängning.

Frukostbuffén Upplever att det var svårt att se var trapporna börjar och slutar när jag kom på eftermiddagen, däremot på förmiddagen var det inga problem. Kan bero på belysningen. Det fanns ingen contur pillow kudde på rummet, frågade i receptionen men det fanns ingen där heller. Dåligt.

Vackert hotell med trappan, spegelsalen lobbyn. Mysigt, ljudisolerat, lagom stort rum. Perfekt storlek på badrum. Bra att kunna ha öppet i lobbybaren även en julaftonskväll. Trevlig personal. Trevlig Bishops arms. Kändes som en bra blandning av lyx och mysighet. Kommer gärna igen. Saknar veganska alternativ på frukosten på alla Elite jag har bott på senaste året (Gävle, Karlstad, Sundsvall). Kanske lite svalt på rummet.

Atmosfären och den vackra välskötta byggnaden är den största anledningen till att jag väljer att bo på Elite. Det är en vacker blandning av den gamla byggnaden och moderna inslag som ger ett mycket lyxigt och seriöst intryck. Men också att ni ser till att detaljerna sitter på plats, att glasdörrarna i entrén är putsade, att trappan är ren (kanske dags att förnya mattan dock?) och att det är mycket fint dekorerat. Att personalen är mycket professionell och välkomnande är såklart också en avgörande faktor att jag väljer Elite. Badrummet behöver snällare belysning, lysrör vid spegeln känns alldeles för mycket Scandic motell och det ger ingen avkopplande känsla. Det märks att det var ett tag sen badrummet i 316 renoverades, men det gör inte så mycket om man hade sett till att fixa detaljerna som belysning, att plattorna satt ordentligt i golvet och kanske någon mer inredningsdetalj som får bort känslan av vårdcentralsvägg (det sistnämnda tror jag kan försvinna med bättre belysning). Plus, ni måste se över ert utbud i minibaren, jag vet hur mycket bra produkter det finns på marknaden att ni ska ha odrickbara viner i kylen är för mig obegripligt. Ta ordentligt betalt, herregud folk vet ju att det är dyrt i minibarer ändå men snälla låt kvaliteten ligga högre än vad den är nu.

We have two bikes with bicycle baskets for our hotel guests. Although Sundsvall city centre is located in a valley between two mountains, there are plenty of nice bike paths that do not require much effort. If you do not fear challenging slopes, it is of course also possible to take a bike ride to both Northern and South Mountain. Well worth a visit for a striking view and beautiful scenery. Welcome to experience our city by bike!
We offer a relaxation area with mixed sauna and lounge chairs as well as access to a number of exercise machines and dumbbells. The relaxation area is unmanned but free to use for our guests. The sauna is heated from 16:00. If you would like to use the sauna during other hours, please notify the front desk and we will help you.
Enjoy a comfortable stay with your pets at our hotel. We offer a limited amount of rooms for those who want to bring their furry friend along. Stay together with your pet in your room for an additional cost of 200 SEK/night. Take the time to experience the beautiful nature and enjoy long walks around the hotel area during your stay. History of the hotel
Hotel Knaust was built in 1891 and is one of Sweden's most famous hotels. Its stunning white marble staircase in the entrance is renowned. Many stories exist about wild parties, distinguished guests, and even a horse on the staircase from the turn of the century when Sundsvall's Timber Merchants lived in their glory days.
After the hotel closed in 1978, Elite Hotel Knaust reopened in autumn 2002, combining modern design and art with the old architecture in a tasteful blend.
